Turtle Convention

  • Brown supermarket paper bags
  • Paint or crayons
  • Green construction paper
  • paste or glue

Turn everyone in the class into a turtle. Draw yellow plastron on front and green carapace on back of paper bags. Cut tail from construction paper in shape of a long "V". Glue tail onto bottom of carapace. Cut holes for head and arms.

Get a group of friends to form a turtle parade. Maybe you could have a turtle race, where the winner is the slowest!
